How to hang textile art

  • avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading

  • hold by the top corners or framed sides to hook onto the wall screw

  • to remove, also hold by the top corners or framed sides and lift up

How to care for and store FRAMED textile art

  • Art pieces are framed with acrylic glass sheeting, i.e., Plexiglass:

  • do not use Windex or any other cleaner. It will cloud the acrylic frame!

  • dust or clean with a lint-free cloth. May use a water dampened cloth

  • lay flat in original shipping box paper, protect the corners!

  • do not lay anything on top

  • store in temperature controlled area, avoiding sun or heat

How to care for and store UNFRAMED textile art

  • do not use a feather duster (the oils will eventually discolor fabric and fibers)

  • if soiled, use water and dab the spot with a light-colored washcloth to prevent transference of color and rub lightly

  • to remove dust, use a nylon, screen, cheese cloth or other mesh wrapped around a vacuum hose nozzle secured with a rubber band OR use painters tape and lightly dab dusty area

  • avoid folding

  • lay flat wrapped in acid-free archival tissue paper (can reuse shipping box paper)

  • do not lay anything on top

  • do not allow any contact with raw wood (to prevent staining)

  • store in temperature controlled area, avoiding sun or heat

  • small unframed art pieces can be hung by a clothes hanger clips after wrapping in acid-free archival tissue paper.
